Occupational Therapist and PhD Student Emma Smith travelled to Ottawa in April to receive the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers from Governor General Julie Payette. This award recognizes volunteers who have made a significant and sustained impact in their community by providing extraordinary help and care.
Emma volunteers with Vancouver Adapted Snow Sports, CAOT, the Mainland British Columbia Military Family Resource Centre, and the Vancouver Resource Society for the Physically Disabled.
