Dr. Tal Jarus Welcomes Local and International Delegates to Collaborative Workshop on Student with Disabilities and University Transitions

This week, Dr. Jarus welcomes a team of international researchers in the health and human service professions, from the UK, Norway, Ireland, Sweden, Israel and Canada, to meet and exchange ideas and innovative research in order to better understand and evaluate the process of transitioning into and out of university for students with disabilities. The workshop will specifically facilitate the generation of new research ideas and collaboration, provide an opportunity for knowledge exchange and comparison of legislation between countries, as well as provide a forum for discussion and networking. A major outcome of the workshop will be to plan for implementation of a multi-phase, multi-site, international collaborative research study to identify factors which limit or promote the process of transitioning into and out of university for students with disability, and allow for comparisons across different stakeholder groups, different professions, and across different countries.
